i'm leaving, on a jet plane...

not long left now. i'll be leaving sheffield and UK, probably for good, in a week's time. overall, one year here has afforded the experience to greatly help me develop as a student and as a person. i will definitely look back on the year with fondness and misty eyes, and no regrets insya Allah.
things i'll definitely miss:-
1. british accent "hello, lurve...yer alrite?".
2. british courtesy unparalleled anywhere else. everyone here holds out the doors for you.
3. doner kebab and fish & chips.
4. very efficient public transport system...mahal but totally worth it.
5. walker's cheese n onion crisps (bringing some home with me).
6. britain's rich history.
7. NUFC.
8. my friends: coursemates, housemates, usrah mates, MSM brothers, sheffielders. gonna miss youse mwuah3!
things i won't:-
1. semua kedai tutup 5pm. afterwards pub and kebab joints je yg bukak.
2. yobbish culture - knife crime occurs almost every day. what's sad is muslim teenagers yg slalu involved.
3. pub culture and drink-related injuries. i find it ridiculous that britain admits it is a problem but refuses to do anything about it.
4. stoopid british bureaucracy, escapisme and finger pointing.
5. weather. obviously.
things i'm looking forward to in malaysia:-
1. foooooooood and mamak.
2. driving my car again (kaklong gimme back my lovely kancil).
3. meeting my family and loved ones.
4. futsal with the boys.
5. singlish..."hey lorr, you want to eat is it?"
6. KFC yg halal. hehehe

PERKEMAS stands for perkhemahan musim panas (i know...not that original ey?) and is an annual family camping event organised by MSM. this year it was held near hartlepool after the original venue at lake district got cancelled at the last minute.
but we successfully pulled it off nonetheless. byk program santai dan ukhuwwah e.g footie, pertandingan BBQ, sesi sekopi dan treasure hunt. as ust maszlee had wisely observed, para peserta & penganjur would have never became this close if not for the change in place. 
and yeah, i did wear the same clothing throughout 3 days camping.
