no la..it's not a new proton model. it's singkatan for kembara generasi al-qur'an, a mukhayyam organised by kelab iqra' utm yg bertempat di tiram indah resort that i joined as a facilitator last weekend. bro umayr was pengarah and he did a superb job, mind u. well done umayr! selain tu zakri, bey n taufiq pun ade.

here i pasted some pics of alumni's karnival aidilfitri on 20 november, courtesy of zakri's digicam. thanks bro! we had fun, didn't we? the jamuan was a total blast. rugi sape tak pegi woo..
emm, i was also part of the organising committee of JIM's perhimpunan perwakilan nasional in johor bahru on 16-18 december. first day me bertugas jadi AJK teknikal along with bey...jaga camcorder, wires, PA system and stuff. second day i got bored so cabut pegi danga bay to join in the kiddies' activities with umayr and the KRJ gang. 
on 25 dec, i went with kaled and bey to abg umayr and kak nurhani's wedding at keramat, KL. there's a really funny story to go with the whole ziarah walimah adventure...maybe i'll tell it to u guys one day!
the following weekend plak i was asked to play emcee at JURUTEK's annual dinner kat dewan jamuan UTM. felt awkward having to wear that tuck-in shirt and tie and slacks and shiny shoes. gimme jeans and a giordano t-shirt any day, man...
meniti menara gading pics will have to wait. later!

i had the experience of a lifetime! i saw harley bikers on the highway, i posed with ubaidah & khairul nizam at kuittho batu pahat. i was infuriated with my car's flat tyre...to my relief, it turned out to be a false alarm. trying to get to jelatek LRT station upon arriving in KL, i got lost in AU3 keramat (which also happens to be my old neighbourhood). i got directions from this abang who sells ayam golek panggang for RM11 each. that's pure extortion! no not the asking for directions part, the price of ayam lar. i had nasi goreng pataya & ABC at a 'kubur' (of all places) while chillin' out with kaled and his mate amin, from nasyid group al-massar. heheh. at UIA's mahallah siddiq, i played futsal with idzwan, tekken, ridzuan and fikri in total darkness for three whole hours. i managed to score a beauty too. we won 8-7 with idzwan's hattrick while bey scored another two. i passed by pejabat PIN (penggiat industri nasyid), and i saw stadium shah alam. i stood gaping at the sheer agnificence of masjid shah alam, but that was before i prayed two rakaats there. i visited UiTM shah alam and concluded that UTM is way better. hihi! i prayed zuhur at matriks UIA PJ. i chatted with salahuddin in front of UM's library. i braved the rain in the middle of bandaraya KL with bey and idzwan...all for the sake of going to PC fair! i met technobabes at sony, intel and creative technology booths there. i tried out the supercool new creative ZEN pocket mp3. i stood gaping again at the size of the new oneutama. it's huge! i met anwar ibrahim at taman melewar. met my uncle there too. i had two large kebabs for supper with naim and auzan at cafeteria UIA. i drove round UIA in utter boredom...probably becoz been there too many times oreddy. i went to the loo in the shopping mall that is IMU. i lepak-ed with nuwem at his very messy guys' apartment and then at the mamak stall in sri petaling. i marvelled at the beauty of bukit jalil national sports complex. i visited UPM, far's uni in serdang. prayed zuhur at masjid UFO there. tak caya? look above. i frustratingly drove all around the colleges: KC, KOSASS, KMR, KTDI and finally K5 looking to buy just a pair of batteries. i flirted wif some cute KC girls along the way, haha. err...nevermind. i only managed to take pics of UNITEN on the road. my jaw practically dropped at the sight of limkokwing UCCT. truly spectacular, just ask bey. i waited for ages for faris at MMU cyberjaya. but then again he did belanja us pizza hut so it's aight man. i stepped foot onto our nation's capital at putrajaya. it's truly a beautiful city. i was disappointed to have arrived at masjid universiti after maghrib, tak sempat melihat pemandangan indah UKM. i ate kuih pau and gulped down redbull, and listened to ceramah ustaz ismail kamus on the drive home. i've been on the most amazing adventure...and i did it all with my pal zubair. this fotopage is dedicated to you, bro.

our footie team sucked, as testified by my "14 reasons" email earlier. but we did quite well in swimming and track events. the alumni guys helped johor to finish in a respectable 4th place.
ps: the city of shah alam is really really nice! so clean and enviromentally friendly. sayang tak sempat melawat masjid shah alam.

the month of may saw me and the iqra' boys attending abg muzaffar's wedding at KL. btw for those who don't know, abg muz ni enjoys a taiko status dlm kelab iqra'. he married a fellow taiko iqra', kak dzurina. rite, umayr? heheh
the next day pulak me menyibuk ngn naim utk join hari keluarga JIM daerah batu. abu urwah was there also, but no muthanna. so i chilled instead with abg wan muhammad(KARISMA president), abg dollah, najib, akob from al-amin and awang(umayr, he's athif's li'l bro). stuffed my face with succulent BBQ before cabut awal utk balik ke JB.
on 16th may, the guys and i went to rehlah at kota tinggi resort. it was brilliant! petang tu kitorang mandi air terjun sampai kecut jari, and then malam tu we cooked BBQ. around midnite bile semua org dah abis makan, kitorang terjun dalam swimming pool pulak. and sebelum tido we layan citer VCD kat dlm chalet. haha, i remember there were like 12 people crammed inside one room, watching euro trip. pengalaman yg best sgt! next day we all balik JB, everyone looking tired but extremely happy.
on 27th may the alumni had its annual general meeting at pejabat JIM. not many attended, not as ramai as last year anyway. alumni president naim membentangkan ucapan dasar, we argued over several issues, bincang stretegic planning bla bla bla. and oh, i get to turun pangkat to being a wakil batch only. kewl!

it was on a sunny friday afternoon when dzafir, khalid, arjunaidi, ainal, farhana and myself visited effahani's apartment house at tampoi. it was really weird, seeing my former neighbour (and most of the time row partner ) getting hitched. gembira tu ada, sedih ada, terkejut beruk pun ade.
whatever pun, ana mendoakan effa selamat dan sejahtera dlm mengharungi liku2 kehidupan berumahtangga bersama suami tercinta.
on may, i was also part of the alumni contingent to KONSIS 2004- konvensyen mahasiswa nasional held at gombak. it was a supposed to be real "eye-opener", but inadvertently i found myself skipping the ceramahs, LDK and whatnot to chill with the guys and their kad terup. haha!
